This year I spent my 27th birthday in Venice. With no particular recipe (yet!) below are just some of my favourite food highlights…

First up was this amazing burrata and tomato salad…


Then we strolled the city, venturing onto the grand canal.

DSC_0891Dinner’s were spent eating pasta and ice cream, al fresco…


Crab rigatoni and seafood spaghetti πŸ™‚


image3Followed by these amazing sorbets – where they kept all the different typesΒ in their skin/shell, from strawbs, to walnuts, tangerines and plum. All followed by sticky, sweet limoncello or meloncello… YUMMA


The next day we decided to opt for…more pasta… and more ice cream! Pistachio… YUM!


No regrets – I may now be 2 stone heavier and one year older, but it was worth every flipping mouthful!
