Green juice health benefits

This is just a quick blog post to show what other variants I use in my green juices, and why this combination is particularly good for you. This mixture of veg and fruit tasted great – not at all celery or vegetable like but sweet, crisp and moreish. What’s more this juice is packed with ingredients that will make you shine from the inside out.

  • 4 sticks celery
  • half a cucumber
  • 4 cavolo nero leaves
  • 2 apples, preferably one red one green
  • 1 lemon
  • half a fennel bulb
  • big bunch of fresh mint
  • thumb sized piece of fresh ginger

Green Juice

Blitz all the above through your juicer and enjoy with a straw to avoid any damage to your nashers. This combo is particularly good first thing in the morning as the ginger and lemon kick start your metabolism and settle the stomach. Read all about the benefits of lemon hereΒ – there are loads!Β The fennel is also a great source of vitamin C believe it or not, which obviously boosts the immune system and in my opinion this means the more fennel the better! As for cavolo nero – it’s fast becoming one of my favourite vegetables, much tastier, softer and delicious than its bland cousin kale, and thisΒ Times article tells me it’s full of antioxidants too.
